A Fair Question

What's a Frood?

Short version: it's a Hitchhiker's Guide reference. Slightly longer version: it tells you a lot about how we think good IT support should work.

In The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, a frood is described as "a really amazingly together guy." It's part of a larger bit about knowing where your towel is - because if you can travel the length and breadth of the galaxy, survive whatever absurdity the universe throws at you, and still know where your towel is, you are clearly someone to be reckoned with.

"A towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have."

- The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on Amazon

That idea stuck with us. The Tech Frood is a play on that definition: we're the IT company that really knows where its towel is.

In practice, that means we try to be the kind of tech partner you actually want around when things get weird. Prepared. Resourceful. Calm. Not scrambling. Not hiding behind jargon. Not turning every hiccup into a dramatic event. Just competent people showing up with a plan and getting things handled.

Because good IT support isn't just about fixing computers. It's about being ready. It's about communicating clearly when something breaks, thinking ahead before it does, and staying steady when the situation gets chaotic. When your email is down, your internet is acting haunted, or your line-of-business app chooses the worst possible moment to throw a tantrum, panic is not a strategy.

We like the name because it captures the vibe. A little clever, a little nerdy, but grounded in something real: the people you trust most in technology are usually the ones who stay calm, stay organized, and somehow already thought three steps ahead.

So that's the idea. The Tech Frood is our way of saying: we know where our towel is, and more importantly, we know what to do when your technology starts acting like it was designed by Vogons.

Need an IT team that keeps its head?

That's kind of the whole idea. If your business needs a reliable tech partner, let's talk.
